He has to clear PAT or player ability test in which two rounds of golf are played. Each round has a target score and the candidate has to score below the given score.

The next step is to fill a form and become an apprentice and pay the fee for registration. Level 1 kit will be given to him and he can start his apprenticeship.

In this kit, there are three levels and each of them takes two years to complete. After the completion of this kit, a checkpoint test is held which includes rules of golf. Then the times come off the Level 2 kit, which includes customer relationship, swing analysis, and business planning. Level 3 is the last kit in which the candidate learns about sing concepts, supervising, and management.

Becoming PGA Certified:

PGA certification was started by professional golfers association in 2004. The online program has been made for PGA pros who want to enhance their management skills in golf. There are many programs, which help the candidates to make their career in golf management. In order to enroll in any of the programs, a candidate has to become a member of PGA.

Descriptions are available for various courses and people can choose the one, which suits them. After choosing the course, the next step is online registration. Candidates can take fourteen courses along with six elective courses. If a person has a membership of fewer than eight years, he has to take a proficiency exam for each course that he selects.

The members whose membership has crossed eight years have to give a presentation.

The head golf professional has the duty of looking after golf shop while the head pro has the duty of providing lessons. At some training institute, the lessons are given by teaching professional. A successful pro should have knowledge of managing an industry business.
